Is there a way to ignore or hide a specific forum, so that any posts in that forum are not shown when I click on "new posts"? There is nothing I can find in the User CP which allows this, yet I have seen this function on other forums (APUG).

You can do a search for new posts that ignores forums and then bookmark it. However make sure the bookmark URL when saved is exactly the same as the original search URL. The software likes to change it if you arent careful
