    Liability insurance?

HELP!! I have just landed my first (real) paying photo shoot. Here's the thing. It is a contract job for the state and the requested location is in a restaurant during operating hours.

What I would dearly love to know is if anyone can put me on to an insurance company that will write a two day policy for liability and accident insurance in the event one of my lights falls over and konks someone on the head, or someone trips over a pc sync cord. Things of that nature. This is sort of short notice as the shoot is about 8 days away, so any immediate help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Paul

    p.s. WOOHOOO!!

I would suggest talking to your regular insurance agent about getting a business policy that would enable short-term riders like this for specific locations. You might get a better deal through other channels, but perhaps not within the time limit you have.

Check out ASMP. I didn't see any links to insurance of the main chapter's website, but there is a link off of the chapter local to me. check out this link.

ASMP also has a Architectural Photography Checklist that might be useful to you.

They are an excellent company I have been using them for a few years now and they are not very expensive either. Tom C Pickard and Company
