Here's what I know in a nutshell, in order of importance...

Title tag should contain your key phrase (maybe twice)

Your first 250 words on your page should contain same key phrase, about 7 times.

flash sucks

Your description should be simple and contain your key phrase.

Your key words should contain, not only your key words, but also your key phrases.

Get as many links to your site as possible.
