Exclamation Problem with Linhof Rollex 6x9/2x3...

    Hello, dear LFormaters!

I have problem with mine Rollex 6x9/2x3. Why at my Rollex a plate which presses a film at width only 75 mm? On Rollex 6x9/4x5 the it whole of 87 mm. http://prorock.info/11/Rollex_qestion.jpg Can a 75mm plate make a 6x9 film format flat on all area?

And one more question. Why on Rollex established only one ball, instead of two? http://prorock.info/11/Rollex_qestion_2.jpg At Rollex with one ball it is more micro vibrations and less stability in the fixed position..

It looks like you may have a 6x7 insert in a 6x9 back. If the insert counts to 10, then that's the problem. If the insert counts to 8, then it's the right insert.

The later Super Rollex backs have two ball bearings. The ball is just to engage the detente. I don't think it does anything structural.

I in vain worried - Rollex was two kinds! 6x9 and 6x6. And only Super-Rollex was 6x7.. Look But for me not understand why the plate for 6x9/2x3 was smaller than plate on 6x9/4x5.. http://photofile.ru/users/shtativ/1167561/23570523/
Have somebody Rollex 6x9? Have you similar plate for film?

P.S. David, for you many thanks personally - I`m not afraid use Tessar as portrait lens after your posts in enet

Super Rollex was made in 6x6, 6x7 and 6x9cm. The inserts are interchangeable in the housing. Super Rollex backs all have a lever wind. Rollex backs were knob wound.

There have been many changes in the Super Rollex over it's life span which continues with some sizes till today. The Rollex backs are long discontinued.
