    Durst enlargers

    Hi.
I have an enlarger problem, and have several questions:

    1. My Durst 4X5 Optimo CL needs repair, and I cannot seem to fix it. I spoke with Jens Jensen some months ago, and couldn't afford it. Now I see he no longer has a website. Does anyone know if Jensen Optical is still in business?

    2. I'm thinking I'd be better off with a manual enlarger that's simpler to keep operating; like a 138 with a color head, or a DeVere. Does anyone have a suggestion where to purchase in S. Florida, as shipping would be a big expense? And does anyone have a suggestion as to where to sell my Optimo CL for parts?

    Thanks,

Don't know the answers to most of your questions, but I ordered a couple of things from Jensen Optical just two weeks ago and their website was up and running. Maybe they just do some maintenance on it and it will be back tomorrow. In any case you can call Jens at 503-846-1492 or send him an email at: durst-pro-usa@msn.com. Good Luck with your enlarger!

    Durst enlargers

I've picked up a couple of Durst L1000s from south Florida thru eBay. Both were from photoLabs that went out of business. Apparently, Durst was popular down there. You might also check Craigslist.com for your area.
