    Superior Archival Materials

I tried to contact Superior Archival Materials this AM by phone to order some mat board and pre-cut over mats and their answering machine says that they are unable to accept orders because of a health emergency. No other information available.

Does anyone know if at some point they will be back in business? How about some good alternatives that I could order these products from?

    Thanks in advance,

    Superior Archival Materials

I was buying from them, until I realized that I could buy the same materials locally from a framing supply wholesaler, and save the shipping, which was a large part of the cost. Also, I found ordering from Superior took too long, and I like picking up what I need when I need it.

I'm in S. Florida. If you are, as well, I'll be glad to give information.

I bring the boards to a local printer, and have them cut to the sizes I use. In my case, the printer cuts them for free, as a courtesy, since my school does a great deal of business with them. But, I would otherwise gladly pay for the cuts, since the savings on shipping are so big.

With it all, I'm sorry to hear about troubles there. It's still a resource, and staffed by nice people.
