    Fatif Board

I need to know how Fatif boards work.
They look different to me, they have a hole with a thread, it means that they need special lenses and shutters?
    Thank you
    C

    Fatif Board

I have an 8x10 Fatif and while the lens boards are specific to mount on the camera, the holes for the shutter are the "usual" and I have Copal 1, 3, Compur and Betax shutters mounted. I have seen some odd looking boards that appear to allow you to mount Hasselblad or Pentax lenses, but you can find some pretty unusal Sinar boards, too.

    Fatif Board

You are right, I noticed that the thread it is not really on the hole of the board but it is on a ring that is screwed over the board.
I don't know what this ring is for, maybe for a specific lens.
I saw the Fatif lensboard you are talking about, they are for medium format lenses,
    Thank you
