Mounting a lens for Sinar Shutter

I recently purchased a beautiful 250mm Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar lens in barrel. The lens came mounted on a Sinar board. I then bought a Sinar shutter to go with it.

As you can see above, screws hold the retaining ring to the board. This may have worked nicely on a copy camera (or whatever they used this lens for), but those screws prevent the shutter from working, because the metal pin on the front of the shutter, needs to move as the shutter is fired - and those screws block its movement. (See below)

    1) As shown above, the shutter is mounted to the rear of the front standard... Is that the correct orientation ?

    2) How to mount the lens on a Sinar board, so that nothing interferes with the operation of the shutter ? Is there someone who does this ?

Many thanks for your help !!

Your shutter mount orientation looks ok. The pin you see is only of use with auto DB lensboards as it closes the diapragm. With a barrel mount it is not needed, so you can just leave the shutter diaphragm control on the right hand side down at 5.6 and the pin will not move. I just tested it on my P and it just jiggles a bit. You had me worried for a bit as I have a bunch of barrel glass to mount myself.

Wonderful - You're right. It works fine now. Many thanks !

I'm a bit surprised by the size of those nuts. Even with a heavy lens six 1/8" screws tapped directly into the Sinar board should suffice. (It holds my 360mm Heliar very steady.) If you feel unsure, a nut and a washer for 1/8" is small enough and should not interfere with the aperture control pin.
On the other hand, you already found a way of working around the problem.
