You might not like everything they show, but I like _Contact Sheet_. I pick it up occasionally in the bookstore and probably will subscribe. Each issue is a portfolio of one photographer. It's well printed, and I like the concept and format.

Good grief JJ, it was a tongue in cheek post.
Some of these "fine art" magazines, like light works & B&W, have nice images, but the overload of BS that goes with it is more than I can stomach. Jim
What is it with bashing the NEA? I don't know if Contact Sheet even gets NEA money. Just because you don't like some of the work they show, or don't understand it, or both (not that there's anything wrong with that... there is a ton of artsy-fartsy pretentious crap out there that sells for the price of a luxury car... and that I'd never allow on my walls or on my bookshelves even if it were free), doesn't mean you should go bash an arts funding organization. If you don't like the projects funded by the NEA, and you think you've got something better, apply for a grant! While the NEA funds some wierd stuff, they also fund things like Ken Burns' documentaries, which are widely loved and admired by midwestern conservative cranks and hippie urban liberals alike.

Yes, $50,000 that I know of.
