Pop-up ground glass hood for Canham 5x7 camera?

Hello,

Has anyone either purchased or made a Pop-up Ground glass hood for the Metal Canham 5x7? Even if you retro fitted something, or made one I would love to hear about it. I am heading into an area where I really don't want to have my head covered by my dark cloth, and am trying to fashion or purchase something that will fold down.

I used an accordion thingy with a lens on the end of it, sort of like a rear bellows with the end nearest you closed off except for the lens. Ebony offers them for 4x5, may do the same for
5x7. The rig I have I got from Robert White in the UK. He might be able to make one for you.

Be warned-they are a compromise, not nearly as good viewing as under the horseblanket

By allmeans ask Keith ... specifically ask him about the laptop 'hoods' they make and whether he or his son (who handles that side of the business) can adapt one of them to your needs. Should be a breeze since the hoods start life as bellows anyway.
