Toyo 45AX won't secure to tripod mount

    Hello,

I have a Toyo 45ax and a Manfrotto tripod, with a quick-release plate screwed to the bottom of the camera. After a short period of use, the quick release plate is no longer screwed in tight, and the camera begins to rotate and swivel. Is there anything I can do to lock the plate down tighter short of welding?

    Thanks

My hexagonal quick release plate has a slot in the thumb screw - does yours? Stick a small screw driver into the slot and use that to get more torque. Thumb tightening just isn't sufficient.

A screwdriver, or a coin, is helpful to get a little extra torque. It may also be that the rubber surface on your QR plate has hardened with age, and needs replacing.
