    Scanning 4 x 5 color negative

Vuescan has had multipass scanning for a long time. Do you find the Silverfast multipass to be superior to Vuescan?

    Scanning 4 x 5 color negative

    Doug,
The purpose of multisampling of course is to reduce noise. Vuesacn does this in a single pass SF does this by multiple passes. SF reduces noise better but creates registration problems. Viewscan reduces noise less but has no registration problems.
    Thanks,
