First I checked all film to be sure loded right. First frame, sheet ends up outside dark frame. Next I dbl expose, then I crsnk off a frame adjusting shutter speed, then film holder not in completely oh and I metered wrong on a couple and couldnt find hart prairie entrance cause all the maps suck. And I kept droping stuff. Woo hoo.

No fun having one of those days. Grrr, have done that myself. Better luck next time, hopefully soon. And post some aspen pics.

Will do, I didn't get Aspens this time. Will try again next week I should have time. I focused on San Francisco Peaks.

You are doing it right -- make all the mistakes quickly and get them over with! And it also helps one to reconize them when they happen again!

Beautiful area, but I have not spent any time around the Peaks. Followed a snow plow over Hwy 180 one winter in my '71 Bug heading to the Canyon. I had already turned around, but the plow was not far behind. When I worked on the South Rim (1977), I made a few trips down to Flagstaff to get my 120 B&W film developed (and some color transparencies processed) -- the Fred Harvey Co had a funky darkroom for their employees where I made my first prints.

Pretty cool. I want to o so end a summer at the canyon. Seems like I go a while and do everything right, but then, I can't find a filter or something mjnor happens and it throws me off. I need to practice more like we did in the Marines so when our rifle jammed it was just an instinct to fix and move on. Never threw us off our game.

I hope it all works out next weekend.

Just developed negatives and I apparently did better than I thought looking at them on the light table. Won't know for sure till I scan in though, but it's promising.
