Nice, Jim. Did you use some sort of spline when you joined the corners in the front standard ? Yes, extra step but it makes things stronger.

I joined the corners with Domino's. I love my Festool Domino joiner. A fancy Bisquet joiner.

So here is a short update. I'm working on this camera part time but I'm getting near the end of the build. I have to attach the springs and the GG hardware, the plate for the bottom with the tripod holes and the bellows. Maybe some other small things but it is almost done.

Some more of the camera. Very satisfying build and my best yet.

Pali, thanks. The best thing is is that the camera weights 21 lbs. My current 14x17-20x24 is 32 lbs! Shaving off 11 lbs. is a great thing. I'm going to sell the big one soon

It is looking great, Jim! Beautiful! I could not tell from the photos, but does the back tilt hardware have an indent for when the back is straight up?

Shaving off 11 pounds off the camera means that you can carry a couple more film holders and another lens!

Vaughn, yep it has the indent. yes loosing 11 pounds is a great thing. Also it fits into the Granite Gear pack with room to spare! I will be able to carry more film holders and another lens in the pack as well. I even ordered two more film holders from Richard Ritter! Serious commitment to 14x17 for sure. Going to have to sell the other camera now.
