Linhof Technika V disassembly of upper track

In my Linhof Technika V 6x9 I have to clean and lubricate the track.
How can I disassemble the bottom rail (lower track)?

No need to remove anything. Apply lubricant to the tracks that are exposed as shown in your picture, then work the mechanism forward and back to distribute the lube. Wipe off the lube and it will carry out any dust. Repeat once and done.

Unfortunately, the previous owner used too greasy grease. I have to wash thoroughly the slides to remove all the previous grease.

Why not contact Linhof in Munich directly and ask them? If anyone knows, they should!

I suppose that Linhof service does not want to reveal its know how. I do not have so much time before an important trip to send a camera for service. I can do many repairs myself, I just do not know how to take out the upper tracks.

So you would rather ask people who do not know and risk creating other problems to your camera? Just call and ask them how to degrease the rails and what is the proper lubricant. It is not difficult!

And, if you can’t figure out how then you probably are not qualified to do it anyway!
