    Slipping of lens control unit

I bought a Berkey Omega C760 Modular Condenser System enlarger and found out t the controls that run the lens up and down for focus are slipping and there seems to be no way to adjust the tension so they adjust up and down consistently. It appears they are worn to the point that they are useless. Can I buy the necessary unit or units to fix the lens adjustment features. Does anybody have replacement part for the C760 units.

You could try to temporarily fix it, however, I would recommend contacting Omega about replacement parts.

    Slipping of lens control unit

It is a design flaw of early C760 enlargers. The factory replaced the whole focusing unit if reported during warrenty. unfortunately my dealer didn't mention it to me until after replacement was no loger available when mine started slipping. Good luck, and please report back, since mine just sits useless in the darkroom.

    Slipping of lens control unit

I would like to thank all those that advised me on correcting myC760 roller assembly. I did as John Nanian And Nick recommended: " Contact khbphotografix.com". which I did and they have rebuilt assemblies and are sending me one for about $180 US dollars. I am to send them my removed and faulty unit so they can rebuild it and sell it to someone else needing a good unit.

Thanks for all the replies. Bill Brine
