I have a military aircraft wide-angle window/lens that I am giving to a photographer who is far more experienced in aircraft than I am. He can appreciate it more than I can (he is in his Eighties). It is in amazing good shape otherwise I'd have thrown it away. Apparently it was never used.
Its purpose was to be a window on a B-25 which would allow a crew member to have a 180º or maybe a little less view. Eye relief is huge because a bomber vibrates and shakes. Here is an example of a view from the starboard side of the aircraft.
My idle and empty brain is trying to think of what needs to be added for it to cover 8x10" film.
