If memory serves, I bought a yellow filter for a 50 mm Leica Elmar lens from Stephen Shuart around 1970, around the time my 48-year-old son was born. And I loved the old yellow-paper Shutterbug Ads.

I also predate the internet. But, I seem to spend too much time on it now!

This is the best spanner wrench I've ever used. Seriously.

What kind of wood is the "wrench" lying on?

Bought my first LF lens, a 21" Kodak Anastigmat from SS, on recommendation of John Layton of this forumddf. Still have it to this day!

The SKG ones are not bad, they tend to loosen up more than I'd like. There's one that is sold at microtools, that is pretty good, with interchangable tips.

I am a pre-Shutterbug, pre-TV, Pre-FM radio photographer. My adjustable lens spanner wrench is still going strong.

The tightening thread should be a finer pitch. Yeah it is clever in allowing an open or allen wrench to tighten, but IMHO a coarse thread was a poor choice. Also, the alloy is too malleable. (All steel is an alloy of some formula, Mr. Opheim.)
