Bogen 3036: Replacement levers for leg locks?

Mine broke off. I can’t seem to find the correct replacements.

    Help!

Mine has the same problem, but after 30+ years of service I can't complain. Manfrotto offered to repair it (but I've declined so far). In fact I'm tired of hauling it around- and the early 3047 head is worn out too. FWIW, I think Manfrotto quality has improved since the 1980s.

    Hi Dan,

I don’t see the 3036 listed. Old model.

It sounds like what you are looking for is the #475, which was Manfrotto's name for the 3036, some version of that. It also sounds like they don't have the upper leg lock for the earliest version. it also sounds like you can replace the entire collar, using one from a later version, but of course it won't match. I might be wrong about all of this.
Thanks, but I'd rather just watch:

These fit my 3036 from the 1990s and may work on yours also. I got them from B&H. I ordered some extra, just in case they go out of production. As part of the tune-up I also replaced all the locking nuts on each lever. Some of them were starting to loosen with time. Fresh locking nuts fixed the problem. (No locking nut comes with the new lever, however the locking nut is a common size).

I bought the last 2 from B&H. Via phone, they said the part is discontinued and they cannot get more.

What now? Good news! The part can be 3D printed. Print files are available on-line and I am going to 3D print a set of 6!

Brave new world! Remember to use 100% infill.
