Art Shay RIP

Art Shay, one of the finest photo journalist passed away early this morning at the age of 96. He is know for his photographs of Presidents, celebrities, sports figures as well as street photography throughout his life. I had the great pleasure of spending time with him over the past nearly 6 years not to mention I was his darkroom printer throughout those years. I will miss him and his wonderful stories.

I saw him last at his show at the American Writers Museum in Chicago - a collection of some of the great authors he had photographed.

He did so much great work for so many many years. Tireless and talented is a great combination.
