Gear-wise I use a Toyo 810MII. A variety of Ektar lenses, mostly wide field. But also a nice and very tiny 18cm Hugo Meyer, a Dagor design, which covers 8x10, but with some corner vignetting. FP4 mostly, but some HP5 too. D-76 1:1.
I find using the large format camera is actually a benefit in engaging people because it's unusual and can often be a springboard to begin a conversation. There's certainly a bit seduction involved when needed, but I am not always lucky. There are many days I come home without a single exposed frame after 6 or 7 hours of walking with my big cart. That used to be more frustrating, but I now understand it as being part of the process. When I *am* lucky it's extremely satisfying.
