I'm pretty sure I posted earlier that I'm working on another between-the-lenses guillotine shutter for a Metrogon something like the first one. It is going well. My latest includes a selective additional ƒ stop for better resolution.
BUT surfing the web for guillotine sluice damper valve brought up a lot of interesting devices for behind or before the-lens applications. Disregard the huge industrial gear; there are some lightweight alternatives waiting for tin-snips for our purposes. There are even models with an adjustable aperture, and electrical or pneumatic activation.
