N00b here, really just been getting into 35mm film photography over the past year which has piqued my interest in large format photography. This is a massive forum! I had no idea so many people were still doing large format. Awesome!
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the real differences between 4x5 and 8x10 in terms of printing. As I understand it, the absolute best way to make large prints at 40" or larger with next to no visible grain would be 8x10, am I correct about that? What are the real differences between 4x5 and 8x10? Is there a resource on that here? I understand that 8x10 is 53 times larger than 35mm!
