    Leigh, SKGrimes is owned by two brothers, Adam and Joel Dau, both machinists. They have a part-time shutter repairman. That's their workforce. When Steve Grimes was alive he usually had a helper, often a shutter specialist.

    The Dau brothers, and Steve before them, accumulated considerable experience and know how much set up, materials and work time will cost for a typical turning job like a threaded adapter. They've made a number of such adapters for me, all onesies.

    My latest flange from Dan - quite a beefy, brass piece to hold a heavy lens.
