    Re: February portraits...

    Hi everyone,

I feel like pepeguitarra, but I also dare to post basically my first photograph made with a 4x5 Sinar F2.
I am still not clear if I should crop it a bit to eliminate the plug and the switches on the left or what else I could improve.

Hoping for some tipps and tricks, critics and comments.

    Cheers, Miguel

    Miguel,

I'm not bothered by the switches, but I think you should crop out the branches at the far left. I don't think you want to crop the plugs at the bottom, you would loose too much of Simon. If you reshoot, maybe you can rearrange things to hide the plugs.

I like the "environmental" aspect of the portrait, but maybe he's too far into the bottom corner of the photo. Maybe...

Thanks a lot Mike for the feedback and recommendations. I fully agree to all your points. More to come in the near future where I can try to follow your points.

Very beautiful Emil. I love the light so subtle and the soft expression of the model.

A few development issues, but this was shot yesterday. In the style of Dali.
