There should be a small white knurled head plastic screw underneath the lift near the drain hose.
Remove this screw and the lift should lift up from the lift base plate.
I did this same thing last year when I shipped my CPE2 and I seem to remember there is also a tab with a hole that fits a little post or nub at the front of the lift next to the cog drive, not sure if there is supposed to be a screw there also. So, once you remove the little white screw and lift the lift up check how it is fixed near the cog.
Remove the white plastic head screw from the rear, as Martin said, then one or two screws from either side of the white gear wheel. The lift then slides forward, say, 5mm to release it from the top plate after which it should lift off
...Sweep
Many thanks!

Unplug the processor so that it has no power.
Note different screw types
B goes here. Loosen with hex / Allen wrench.
A goes here. It has a knurled head so loosen with your fingers.
Lift "A" end to free screw from hole, then slide Lift assembly to the left (away from drain tube / power cord). Hold on tightly as the Lift will come off the unit.
Pardon the cell phone pics

I also removed the tray aka the lift mount which is a dish-shaped piece of plastic, located under the lift, held in place by 4 screws.

Result!
Wise decision to remove the lift as mine was shipped to me with it still fitted which snapped the top plate where the white screw fits. Very expensive mistake for the vendor

2) Attach Lift in 2 motions: slide on, lower end onto screw.
A) Keep other end elevated slightly. Slide the 2 extended screws into 2 slots. Normally there is NO need to tighten these 2 screws unless there is excessive play
B) Lower end screw into hole:
C) Tighten knurled nut onto end screw by hand.
Srry, this pic is upside down. You get the idea.
