Posting an article from Adobe Acrobat DC?

A friend who's a Professor in Optical Sciences sent me his article, in Adobe Acrobat DC format, on the history of the Petzval lens. He gave me permission to post it on the forum, but I can't figure out a way to get it from Adobe Acrobat DC to something that goes on the forum. (It's a fairly long article with illustrations included.) Is there a way to post it here?

Ask him to send it as a straight-forward PDF.
The DC format is just a wrapper that requires a monthly fee to use.

The file name is "Joseph Petzval paper by Jose Sasian (3).pdf Adobe Acrobat DC". It will only open in Adobe Reader, though the file name suggests it may be a pdf underneath. But even if I convert it, it may be too long to post, and I worry about losing the illustrations.

Our vBulletin version says you can attach pdf's up to 1.43MB to a post. How large is it?

441 KB, so it will fit (if it doesn't grow during conversion).

I think it just posted over in the "Lenses & Lens Accessories" area. Feel free to delete this thread, just to save some clutter on the forum. And thanks to Jac and Oren!

It opened here with no problem. (Yay!)

EDIT - no problem, think I'll just leave up this thread as it is in the right place and it may help someone if this question comes up again. Thanks for bringing the article here!
