Here is Hasselblad cut film holders data.
I see no room for cut glass plate The pressure plate thickness capacity is only deep enough for film.
One could make it work by modding the holder, but that would destroy it. We save that option when no film is left on earth. Not in my lifetime!
I include pics as these are very rare and expensive. I got mine at KEH for a steal. The Hasselblad cut film set included a film punch which I don't have. I don't need it.
This set is not for sale at any price. I have been PM'd before. Don't.

Randy, thanks for the info. Just to run this to ground completely: Did you order some smaller glass a while back that perhaps you could carefully slip in under the lip? I don’t remember if you did or not.

No, I did not. I think if the glass was thin enough it would be too fragile, break, crack and fill cavities in the holder.
Perhaps tempered glass and remove the spring septum, which would be irreversible.
Since I have Mamiya RB camera, lenses and 6X8 cm DDS Mamiya plate holders with removable film sheaths I will try that. The NOS RB glass should equal Hasselblad.
I will move to that format.
For those looking for 4x5 and 8x10 plates, they're pretty scarce for the time being and will be until I get back from travel for my day job in early May.
Blue Moon Camera has a few boxes left in stock (and listed on eBay), so if you need some over the next couple of weeks please ping them.

A photographer wrote up a nice article about my dry plates, summing up really well what I’m doing (I think he gave me a little too much credit, though...I’m just one facet of the modern Dry Plate community).

That article got picked up by PetaPixel and I’ve since been happily swamped with inquiries and shows of support. It’s pretty neat.

I have a set of the hasselblad cut film holders and there is very little thickness for plates. The slavich holographic plates in 2.5" size, for example, are too thick to fit in them. I no longer have the plates to measure them--I just tried to check the fit years ago on a whim. I seem to remember it had a thickness between 1mm and 2mm, but I can't be sure.
for plates on a hasselblad, I suggest using the npc polaroid back for the hasselblad--it can fit plates of very very thick glass with no problem. Even the hasselblad brand polaroid back would work well, except it has a plate glass on it that would just get in the way if used as a plate holder. Actually, the hasselblad polaroid back is superior as a cut film holder since the plate glass holds the film absolutely flat unlike the hasselblad cut film holders.
Any camera that had a polaroid back option has the perfect back for use with plates. And you can use a larger plate size in the polaroid holders if you want. In fact, any polaroid camera should work if you have an old polaroid film holder cassette--you can tape the plates in them.
For those of you who shoot 9x12, 1/4 plate, or 4x5, Stearman Press offers plate holders in *all* of those sizes for their SP-445 developing tank. I’m a big fan of that tank and I think it’s awesome how willing they are in supporting dry plate photography!
