Albert Hotel & Firth of Forth Bridge.
    North Queensferry. Scotland

The Firth of Forth Bridge (1890) is a cantilever railway bridge across the Firth of Forth at Edinburgh. An iconic structure, a symbol of Scotland, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The bridge pioneered construction with steel; (its French contemporary, the Eiffel Tower, was built of wrought iron). Large amounts of steel became available after the invention of the Bessemer process, patented in 1856. Prior to the bridge, the ferry across the Forth landed here at North Queensferry.

Princes Bridge, Melbourne, looking towards the arts precinct, 1980s. Contax, Zeiss 28mm f/4 Distagon lens, Agfapan 25 probably in Rodinal. The split tone effect is perhaps due to scanning the negative as colour.
