Old ones might not be able to be repaired. Ari can give the best advice I know of.

I have one and use it for just about everything up to and including my 5 x 7's - and my Seneca 8 x 10 come to think of it. Very nice product and it works as advertised. And Ari is a very good guy and a pleasure to deal with.

These tripod heads are excellent. I doubt you will be disappointed.

I have the 38 FT - which I found great for 4x5 and light 5x7 - and the 58 FT which is rock solid with everything I own. You can rack the front, lens and back all the way out, balancing the whole package at the end of the rail and it still won't drop!

A good thing about the 38, is that my tripod Feisol 3342 folds up nicely over it.

Thanks for the kind comments, and I'm glad to know there's so many people with positive things to say about FLM gear.
I spoke to Giles a few days ago, thanks for your recommendations. His work is beautiful and quite amazing.
