I've just acquired an older Cambo 5x7 monorail. It has a few minor issues that I'm dealing with right now, but one more notable problem is with the film back. The ground glass is essentially floating loose in the back - the small spring tabs that normally would keep it pressed down are not in contact with it at all.

It looks as though there was a Fresnel screen in there at one time, judging purely by the gap that I can see. My previous experience with Speed Graphics always involved a screen towards the lens side of the ground glass, but the other, later Cambo gear that I've had has no screen.

Should there be one on this back? If not, can I simply pad the clips so that they'll hold the glass in place firmly?

I welcome advice from those here who are familiar with this model and type of monorail.

Thank you.
