I dig the prop shot, Reinhold. I did one too years ago when they had an air show at Paine Field.

Great,Tuco, If you made it to Gilkey Bridge, you were almost in my yard! We had a great eclipse view from the patio.

Oh, okay. Did you take any pictures? I did with my 6x7. After the eclipse, I headed back to Eugene. I-5 and Hwy 99 were backed up for miles. The only part of my eclipse plan that worked well was the egress. I just took all the back roads back while, it seems, everybody stayed on the main highways.

The Caravan is a favorite airframe. Terrific image tuco.

Part of a DC-7 reposing on a lonely ramp in the Arizona desert.

Thanks. I've taken quite a few pictures of this airplane over the years.

Flash back to the introduction of the 747-400 in 1989. NW Airlines was the launch customer for Boeing's new 747-400. And this plane was among the first block to be delivered to them.

For Boeing, the introduction of the 747-400 was hell. They had bitten off more than they could chew on a 3-day rate. Hardly any two planes were configured the same interior-wise and it was a constant learning curve for much of the final assembly areas that were plagued with build and design errors. Planes were going out final assembly uncompleted and they were packed out on the tarmac anywhere there was room. And for each day the plane was late for delivery, the more of a contractual discount the customer got off the plane's sticker price.

Have seen great shots, thanks for posting!

I was in doubt if I was on the Large Format platform, Medium Format rules!
Can't blame you, who carries the Large Format beasts to those events?

Here's a 8x10" snapshot from the car I still drive in today.
Kodak Ektachrome 100 VS (Very Saturated, can you tell?), Cambo+Symmar 300mm.
Along you'll find the 50x zoom, a detail just behind the rear seats on the other side, hence the mirrored lettering.
