Phone boxes were stationed around theaters so late night theater-goeing folks could call hail a taxi after the show was over.
Here's an alley behind two theaters... (Back before the days of mobile phones).

The 1963 Seattle World's Fair Science Pavillion Arches.

I think of these as an example of something that could be considered absolutely useless in a practical sense.
However, they serve as an example of how architectural art contributes to our sense of beauty.

Everyone takes a snap of it, so I should too...
(Quite easy with digital, a bit more challenging with B&W film)

Foggy morning in Fix St. Genevs (Hte. Loire), France

In small villages you can count on at least one boulangerie (bakery) to be open at 6: AM so folks traveling to/from work can get a baguette.

    Re: Some B&W Night Shots...

Reinhold - very impressive and thanks for sharing. How do you manage to get such clean negatives (as in no dust)?. I'm still learning film but my limited experience with night shots (4x5 Ilford Hp5+) was not even close to what you've been able to present. I thought I was careful and took all the necessary precautions but they were disappointing to say the least. I'd be interested in any help you can give.

    Regard
    Dave
