Help with a "Le Polyopse No. 1652" brass barrel lens

I was given this lens in a box of old photography stuff.
I found one reference to it in"The Moving Picture World", c. 1907, stating that it is a fine (Magic) Lantern Projection Lens.
Anyone know of any additional resources for info on this lens?
    Thank you.

Not much real information, except it looks like a Petzval, but there is also this (page 5).
