Getting Started Question with X-Rite 361-T Densitometer

I just picked up what appears to be a fully functioning X-Rite 361-T densitometer at a yard sale that was in the original box and had the calibration wedge with it. I thought the heavens were going to part when I saw it for $1.

I know a lot of people have talked about using this densitometer for pyro developed negatives in UV mode, so that makes me wonder if it is suited for regular b/w negatives. I assume so, but I have no idea what I am doing...

Can anyone confirm the proper mode/setting that I need to use on this densitometer to read densities for regularly developed negatives (not pyro).

    Thanks

    Larry

It’s great for both B&W and UV . Get the manual (on line) and Pickers Zone VI Workshop and Adams’ The Negative to figure out what to do with it. A book on Photografic densitometry world also help or PM me with your phone.

Use it in ortho mode for regular black and white negs. Use it in uv mode if you’re gonna print with a uv light source. Good deal for sure!
