    Whole Plate Film

    Hi,
Clearly I didn't order enough Ilford Fp4+ in whole plate, during the special order and now I'm almost out! Does anyone know of a place that stocks this size (6 1/2 x 8 1/2)? My usual source is Badger Graphic but there is none listed. I suppose if I can't find any I'll buy 8x10 and cut it down but that is throwing $20 per box away.

    Hi Chris,

I did see a box for sale on the auction site:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ILFORD-FP...-/253207038019

You might try Fred Newman at the VIEW CAMERA STORE. He can sometimes score unusual film sizes:

Other than that, no I do not know anybody stocking FP4+ in Whole Plate size.

The obvious place to try is the list of dealers who participated in the special order this year. Possibly some of them ordered a few extra boxes for stock.

I was in discussion with the people who make the NP films...(name??) they said they could supply me with whole plate and it's worth checking although I prefer to use FP4

Daniel, thanks for the link but at that price plus shipping is too much.
Oren, I did check with Badger Graphic since that is who I buy it from but they didn't list any. I haven't checked any others.
Peter, what are NP films? I too prefer using Fp4 and next year I will buy much more. For now I will use what I have and if I can't live without it I'll buy the 8x10 from Badger and cut it down. I can also use my 5x7...
    Thanks for the responses.

NP is probably OrWo (Original Wolfen) film - have a look at http://www.filmotec.de to get contact details.

EDIT: Or perhaps, on second thought, Wephota. (they are doing confectioning, not a film producer per se) -> http://www.wephota.de

Foma makes film in plate sizes, if you can accept a substitute.

    Chris,

Contact Freestyle at info@freestylephoto.biz. They indicated on their Facebook page that Ilford has a little extra Whole Plate FP4+ left. Delivery would be early in 2018.
