    DeVere 5108 bulb options

My DeVere 5108 seams overly bright, that may be good in some respects but I would like to get longer exposure times without stopping my 5.6 lens past f11.
Is there any advantage to an led bulb as a replacement, or is there another bulb option you would recommend? Thanks in advance.

I usually use f32 for 8x10 enlargements. The lens I use still has a bright spot at f11 (Rodenstock 300mm).

f32 would work for giving me the time I need, I have always read it's best to stop down two stops. Thoughts?

I lamp mine with ENH bulbs, 250 w ea but 175 hours life vs 35 hrs for the ELH bulb. I buy mine on the auction site in lots of 4 or more NOS around $5-$8 ea. I realize that 1000 W vs 1250 watts is not much of a decrease, but it helps. You should also be able to cut 2 stops with the filters in the head. That gets you down from f32 to f16!
