    Seeking clues on possible causes of this problem in negative

    Does anyone have any hot insight on the cause of this band? Shutter issue? Its a Linhoff Copal 0. I've only used it a few times.

    It appears to be an insufficient quantity of developer.

    Agree with the developer comment. There is still lots of potential for a great image from this negative with a little cropping!

    How was it processed (tank, tray)? Was this infrared film? I inverted the image in PS and I am perplexed.

    Anyway, I concur with the suggestion of others: looks like insufficient developer volume. What Paterson tank was this (size) and how much developer did you use?
