Camera & Darkroom; Bostick & Sullivan

Shops in New Mexico not too far off my route to Colorado Springs (the proximity to Tomasita’s makes the Southern route especially attractive!)
    Are they worth checking out?

Yes. I recommend the combo plate.

I would checking out Padilla's (or Los Cuates or Sadie's) over Tomasita's.

Are they less crowded? As I'd be passing through town I'd prefer lunch counter seating to waiting in a long line for a table.

That has been my experience. They aren't lunch counters but easy to get into during the lunch hour. In my opinion... better food too.

An ABQ native friend says Casa de Benavides has the best breakfast burritos in town. The Range Cafe in ABQ and Bernalillo are good. Blake's Lota Burger in NM has great green chile burgers.
