    Another option that I've used to re-cement those is 3M Super Trim Adhesive...it's used to glue in things like the headliner in a car (I used to restore old cars as well). If you're careful, you can put some on a q-tip and apply it to both contact areas. It's extremely strong, flexible, and should make a permanent repair. Kind of expensive though if that's only thing you're ever going to do with it...the cans are big, and one can would glue hundreds of them lol. Another option anyway...
