    Popularity of LED lighting?

Anyone using LED lights for still life work and other table top shots? I have a good monolight, but do not have much beyond that, and am wondering if LED might offer a practical way for me to go. I'm kind of skeptical that it would be, but am not knowledgeable enough to be 100% certain on that.

    Thanks,

    Ed

Use some but not full commercial lighting photo setups. Am working with "Full Spectrum" LED lights so I can shoot color for some ad work. Much cooler in the room than with regular hot lights going. Color is not perfect but close enough that it works just fine. Location work for small things outdoors with the lights below is easy using a power inverter off a motor vehicle battery.

Well, there's all sorts of options, such as the Aputure Lightstorm 120D (https://smile.amazon.com/Aputure-Day...storm+Cob+120D), to the various Dracast panel lights, to very expensive Arri and similar versions. The color rendering of the better units is very good.

Have several YONGNUO YN900 LED lighting units that I use for shooting video, Photomicrography, studio setups, and more. Recommend them 100%. Great for on-location shooting.

I use these for some archiving photography in my shop and they are fine. Because of the built-in reflector, they are about the equal of a 250watt blue photoflood in exposure.
Thanks, but I'd rather just watch:
