    X-raying film on train baggage?

I am about to take a trip on Amtrak before Congress shuts it down. I will be checking baggage, as well as carrying some on board. Does Amtrak x-ray checked baggage, i.e., do I need to keep all the film with me, as I do on the airlines?

    X-raying film on train baggage?

I seriously doubt it. I'm certain that pre-911 they didn't and I can't imagine a scenario where they would have had the money to install the machines in the stations.

    X-raying film on train baggage?

Ed I have not experienced scanning other than drug dogs walking by bags as they are on the dolly waiting for loading. If you are worried they sell a lead line bag at most camera shops called the Film Shield and it was designed to withstand xrays at the Heathrow Airport in England which was really bad on film.

Enjoy the train ride it is a lot of fun and very comfortible, Paul
