About cameraeccentric on archive.org. I tried perhaps six (6) different save dates there, always got the front page with the "info" page and, therefore, the catalogs behind it, not saved.

I use archive.org to back up pages referenced in my cook book, have found that it doesn't always put complete sites away when asked. Pages, usually, whole sites, rarely if ever.
If you follow the link I posted, it goes directly to the info page, and I can view catalogs and their pages. Trying to get to the info page from the front page doesn't work. I tried that first.

Using the Wayback machine I was able to open the info page for Sept. 2012:

    https://web.archive.org/web/20161018....com/info.html

some of the more recent backups don't include that page, there might be a more recent page but I didn't check them all.

Charley, thanks for your persistence. I took your hint, looked for http://www.cameraeccentric.com/info.html on archive.org.

I don't know how you managed it, but the link you posted isn't for Sept. 2012, it goes to the most recent crawl, which was on Oct. 18, 2016.

I've book marked that link, will put it in my list of useful links if cameraeccentric doesn't come back soon.

[edit: turns out I don't have to, the link in my list is http://www.cameraeccentric.com/info.html]

Hi Dan, I haven't a clue to how I managed that ... I tried emailing them to the address on their page, staff@cameraeccentric.com,
and got an unrouteable address bounce.

It's down for me, hope it's just a temporary problem.

If the server is down (and I get a non-existant domain from both Comcast and the University DNS), it might be worth trying cameraeccentric.com@contactprivacy.com. The site is registered with a hidden ownership, according to 'whois'.
Though there is a chance that the privacy registry forwards to the server, and not an independent address.

Try this link from the Wayback machine:

    https://web.archive.org/web/20161018....com/info.html

There had been a notice on the site that they would be shutting down--getting out of the business--for quite a while. The names of the owners is probably public, and can be found through a search on this forum.

It's a Yahoo Small Business website. Yahoo gives its clients a privacy option.

I wonder whether the files could be posted on the LF Home Page, with proper credit given to the old site/administrator? It would be a shame to lose such a resource.
