I've been enjoying these, and I particularly like the toning on the latter ones; they remind me of a freshly exposed but undeveloped salt or albumen print (if only it would be possible to preserve that tone in the final print!)
Thanks, I had a blast doing these. And yes, the toning of the latter ones is pleasing. It's a combination of the blue film and brown pyrocat stain, I took saturation down about 50% in PS after scanning. The first one was way over exposed as I forgot to adjust the aperture so the stain was essentially "lost" by pulling it so far in the scanner.
I like the still life ones..
If you wanted some vintage looking output for participants, you could have them printed on metal
I've used the dame approach to toning a couple of times as well, works like a charm! I find it very nice, but I understand that some people prefer a more neutral approach.
