Also on the east side of the Bay. PhotoCentral in Hayward has a great show thru the 15th of April. Forty year retrospective of two of the Bay Area's best photographers and photo educators.

Re: San Francisco Galleries or Exhibits

Thanks again for everyone's SF suggestions. I made it to the following venues:

SFMOMA - The Arbus was spectacular, indeed.
Pier 24 - A great group of images from luminaries such as: Stephen Shore, Lee Friedlander, Nicholas Nixon, Alec Soth, Vanessa Winship, Diane Arbus, Eamon Doyle, Robert Adams, and several others. The space is very impressive, and, because they limit the number of people for each two-hour session, you get to fully experience the work on the walls without having to jockey around crowds.
De Young - A magnificent Danny Lyons exhibit.
Fraenkel - A wonderful selection of Ralph Eugene Meatyard.
Koch - Familiar Eliot Erwitt prints.

By the way, the Leica store exhibit is actually Henri Cartier-Bresson. Somewhere around 25 prints for sale.
