The obvious answer is to arrange with the seller for you to test the lens and see if it performs to your requirements.

FWIW, I have two WF 135mm Ektars, one with a very, very slight haze in the coating of the front element. This latter makes noticeable flare in images taken with bright off-axis areas just out of the field of the lens' view. It's still "usable," but I'm really careful with it when shooting. My other is pristine and gets used a lot more.

    Best,

    Doremus

My 14" Commercial Ektar has seen it's share of trail dust and ersatz cleaning solution (Vodka, IIRC, at the Granite Creek trailhead) and doesn't seem to have suffered any. No pits or scuffs though, nor visible scratches but I expect that the coating may have been compromised to some extent. This lens is older than me, and it's in far better shape
I steal time at 1/125th of a second, so I don't consider my photography to be Fine Art as much as it is petty larceny.
I'm not OCD. I'm CDO which is alphabetically correct.
