    Expired Fujicolor 100 from EBay

I decided to gamble and bought some expired Fujicolor 100 from EBay. Many people are selling this film for VERY cheap.

    It all expired in 2010.

I bought 60 rolls at $0.75 per roll and free shipping.

It came in today and I took a roll and shot it out in a couple of minutes. I used my 1956 Kiev II rangfinder and Helios 103 55mm F1.8 lens. I didn't have any fresh C-41 mixed, but I did have some VERY old C-41 that was last used over a year ago.

Saying all that, and especially using very old chemicals, I'm happy with the results. I am going to order a fresh C-41 kit and see if I get even better results. I'm hoping for a little less grain, but I really can't complain for $0.75 a roll!

Note, these aren't artistic or anything, just shot a roll in 5 minutes in my back yard to see if the film was any good. The outside shots were shot at F2.8 and the inside wide open at F1.8

I really liked Fujicolor in 120. Had a brick come to me second-hand a couple of years ago.

There was a guy that had something like 200 rolls on eBay a while back and I tried and tried to haggle with him but he wanted too much per roll. I would've loved to get a big supply but oh well.

Colors look good, a bit warm like a remember the Fujicolor, which I like! Congrats.

The Kiev is doing a fine job...did you have it serviced before use?

No, I bought it for around $100.00 with a J8 lens. It is a 1956 Kiev II and it's in excellent shape. Shutter speeds are very accurate so I didn't see the point in sending it in for a CLA.

It's built so well as everything works so smoothly that I believe it was probably made with original Contax internals.
