Yes I have submitted to a couple of the briefs, each time without success. However as I have chosen the slightly obsecure it gives you a interesting library of images to up load to Alamy at a later date!
Where I think it's a bit of a rip of is when you get a global brand wanting images of its products, on a location, with models, for peanuts.
