    I think you have misunderstood something here. The web can handle 4x5. The problem is that current monitor technology is not good enough to utilise the extra quality of 4x5. This is not the same as saying that the web can't handle 4x5.

    And much comes down to your purpose... Sure bandwidth and monitor constraints don't let you take full advantage of a 4x5, but they don't for medium format either... that doesn't mean you can't show the image and generate interest (and sales on it). It just means that it will never match a good print.
