    Wink Post your (LF) trains!

    Allright I'm going out on a little of a limb here…but some of you got to have some train pix. It's more so for my curiosity to see what large format can do for a locomotive or boxcar. Moving trains tend to be a big challenge with 4x5 because of the speed vs. depth of field issues. However a still subject is usually a money in the bag with the big camera.

    I'll start. Here's Union Pacific 849 sunning itself at the enginehouse in Portola, California in June of 2002. Tachihara 4x5 Field, Fujichrome Velvia.

    Section of a digital stitch and neg-to-pos conversion of a 6x17 photo of my Dad on one of the trains he helps with...

    I did this digitally so that I could email him an indicative copy. I'll get around to printing a "proper" copy one day.
